The show was created by Christine Adolph, Liza Cardinale, Sarah Low, Riley Swift, + JJ Stratford; a real life gaming group who decided to televise their adventure.
The show was originally taped at Comcast Public Access in Hollywood but soon moved to Eagle Rock Public Acess and continued until the station was shut down in 2009.
The game was played live in a television studio and recorded to tape. The fantasy realm, dicated by the adventure and the roll of the dice, was chroma keyed in.
To illustrate the actions of the dungeon crawl, Dungeon Majesty employed the use of miniature models, crude practical effects, stop motion animation, and an insane amount of magic inspired special fx.
